The club has its own cottage, Tal-y-Braich, which is near to Deiniolen, Llanberis, North Wales. It is situated in a perfect spot for a climbing and hill walking. It sleeps up to 20 , and provides cooking (including cutlery and crockery), toilet and shower facilities. The cottage has been recently renovated to a very high standard, with a significant amount of the work being carried out by the members themselves.
We try to maintain the homely ambience and with it's large open fire, it makes a welcome return from a cold day in the mountains. It is particularly pleasant to wake on a summer's morning and be able to see all the way across to Anglesey.
One of the key benefits of using our hut is, of course, cost. With a night costing as little as £3 per night for members to £5 per night
for visiting clubs, it means you can afford to spend the weekend as
often as you like.

As part of the British Mountaineering Council, one of the benefits we enjoy is a reciprocal arrangement on the use of other huts around the UK. Opposite is one of the huts we use regularly, the Count House in Cornwall. All the huts we use are located close the crags and the hills for our members to enjoy - again, it works out cheaper to use these in most cases than official camp sites. |
